6 new Apple widgets for iPhone and iPad in autumn 2021

App Store widget

With a simple look at the App Store widget, you can see stories about new and breaking apps and games every day. It’s a tiny Today tab from the App Store right on your screen.

Other widget updates

Along with the new widgets, you will find some widget improvements.

  • Standard widgets: When upgrading to iOS 15 and iPadOS 15, default widgets will appear on your screen. This includes the apps you use the most and smart stacks.
  • Smart widget suggestions: Apps you use can be automatically displayed in your smart stacks based on your past activity.
  • Rearrange smart stacks: You can also update the order in which apps appear in your smart stacks right from the home screen.
