Add Google suggestions to system search for Ubuntu 20.04 via extensions

Want to get Google search suggestions in system search results? There is an extension that enables the features of the Gnome desktop.

Google Search Provider is an extension inspired by DuckDuckGo Search Provider.. Use this,[アクティビティの概要]Or[アプリケーションの表示]Enter a keyword in the search box to see Google search suggestions. You can also click to open the results in your favorite web browser.

How to install the extension on Ubuntu:

So far, the Gnome Shell extension supports Gnome 3.36 and 3.38, so it should work on Ubuntu 20.04, Ubuntu 20.10, and upcoming Ubuntu 21.04.

1.) First open a terminal (Ctrl + Alt + T) and run the command to install the chrome-gnome-shell package if it doesn’t exist.

sudo apt install chrome-gnome-shell

2.) Next Go to the extension web page In your web browser, turn on the toggle icon to install.

If you don’t see the toggle icon, click the “Click here to install browser extension” link and refresh the web page later.

Uninstall Gnome Shell Extension

To remove the extension, visit the web page again or use the extension tool. This tool sudo apt install gnome-shell-extension-prefs command.
