Want to play games or control desktop applications using the gamepad on Ubuntu Linux? There is a graphical tool AntiMicroX that can be useful.
AntiMicrox is a program used to map keyboard buttons and mouse controls to a gamepad. Useful for playing games that don’t support gamepads.
This program can also be used to generate SDL2 configurations (useful for mapping atypical gamepads to popular gamepads such as the xbox 360).
The software provides both .deb and .appimage packages on the release page.
You can get a single executable
.appimage A package or download that runs the program without installation
.deb Open a terminal (Ctrl + Alt + T) to package and install and run the command.
sudo apt install ./Downloads/antimicrox*.deb
