Apple teases “Unleashed” event with a Time Warp-themed AR Easter egg

We can’t get enough of Apple’s Easter egg. Last time, Apple’s Easter egg focused on an Apple logo with a mountain and a lake in it. Apple today announced the ‘Unleashed’ event for M1X MacBook Pros. As expected, Apple has added new AR Easter eggs for the upcoming event.

Apple is expected to pull the sleeves for the MacBook Pro at the “Unleashed” event on October 18th. Go to the Apple Events page on your iPhone or iPad. Tap on the event logo and lo and behold. You can now see blue right rays in a time machine design with an Apple logo. Move your iPhone / iPad around, and now you’ll see the date 10.18 in a loop. There’s also a reminder of the event below.

Apple’s new M1X chip will power the upcoming MacBook Pros. The new chip is expected to outperform the current generation M1 chip in the Mac. Inside, it will likely contain a 10-core CPU with a 16-core and a 32-core GPU for unprecedented performance. Another major upgrade includes a mini-LED display and a significant improvement in battery life.

Rumor mills say that by 2021 MacBook Pros will feature a thinner body and a flat design. Best of all, Apple’s new MacBook could reclaim an HDMI slot, an SD card slot, and an old-fashioned MagSafe charging solution. Apple’s Unleashed virtual event will be streamed from Apple Park on October 18 at 10am PDT. In the meantime, you can check out our breakdown of the leaks and see what to expect from the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros. In related news, the existing 16-inch MacBook Pro isn’t available in many stores.
