of Rclone browser fork I tell you that it has been improving after a while, the latest version has added new options in the application preferences, and made important fixes on Windows to mount / unmount properly.
Rclone Browser is Rclone’s cross-platform Qt5 GUI. Rclone is a command-line tool for synchronizing (and mounting) from remote cloud storage services (such as Google Drive, OneDrive, Nextcloud, Dropbox, Amazon Drive and S3, Mega, etc. )document. Use it to copy files from one cloud storage service to another, from cloud storage to your system or another way, and install some cloud storage on your system with one click.
Since the original Rclone browser has not been updated for nearly 3 years, new developers have forked it, fixed some issues that started to appear in the new Rclone version, and also added new features. The latest Rclone browser (fork) 1.6.0 adds many new options to specify the default upload / download folder, configurable download / upload settings, and configurable installation settings (use –vfs-cache- by default mode write). This release also adds update notifications for the Rclone browser and Rclone, both of which are enabled by default. This release also addresses Windows mount / unmount issues. Since both Rclone browser and Rclone need to solve this problem, when installing / uninstalling cloud storage on Windows, you will need the latest version of these two versions (Rclone Browser 1.6.0 and Rclone 1.50 or higher) no longer Encounter problems.
More changes in Rclone Browser 1.6.0:
- Google Drive with the “Share with me” option is always mounted read-only to avoid problems
- Added ftp, MS Azureblob and Google Photos remote icons
- Modify the main application window status bar to save space
- Windows deployment now includes all required runtime files for users who don’t have MSVCR installed
- Released binaries for 32-bit Windows and 32-bit armhf (for Raspberry Pi running Raspbian)
- Other minor adjustments and fixes
