GrafX2 is a free open source bitmap paint program for Linux and Windows. You can use it to create pixel art, game graphics, and other paint graphics with your mouse. This application specializes in drawing 256 colors. Released under GPL-2.0 and CECILL-2.0. This paint program is inspired by the old and popular Amiga program Deluxe Paint and Brilliance. It comes with basic painting features, layer support, drawing modes, brush effects and more.
Install Graf X2 on Ubuntu
The GrafX2 Bitmap Paint Program is available as a flat pack package for Linux. You can install it from the terminal app. However, you first need flatpak and flathub. Follow the link below for that.

Install flatpak and flathub on Ubuntu
After installing flatpak, restart your computer. Then open the terminal software and run it under the GrafX2 flatpak installation command.
flatpak install flathub com.chez.GrafX2
You can then run GrafX2 using the following flatpak command.
flatpak run com.chez.GrafX2
