DeadBeeF Music Player 1.8.3 released [Howto Install]

DeaDBeeF Music Player 1.8.3 was released one day ago as the third bugfix update for the 1.8 series.

The new release fixes CD text reading issues and adds title formatting and values.

How to install DeaDBeeF 1.8.3 on Ubuntu:

There is Ubuntu PPA repository The deadbeef .deb package is included, but has not been updated for a new release at this time.

64-bit download .deb Package from the following link:

Note: If you installed an older Deadbeef version from Ubuntu PPA, you must first remove it (run the following command in Terminal): .deb Install the music player from the previous link in the / opt / directory.

sudo apt remove deadbeef

Then install the .deb via the Gdebi package installer (available with Ubuntu software) and enjoy!
