DigiKam 7.0 released with improved face detection

A few days ago the digiKam photo management software 7.0 was released, which greatly improves face detection and recognition.

digiKam 7.0 Released one year after development. Features new deep learning face management. No learning phase is required to perform face detection and recognition. And face detection reaches 97% of true positives.

Improved face detection and recognition also supports non-human faces, blurred faces, covered faces, face profiles, printed faces, turned faces, partial faces and more.

It also supports multiple cores to speed up calculations.

  • New tool Image Mosaic Wall.
