Currently, there are many applications that can be installed on a Linux desktop via the Flatpak package. If you are stuck with flatpak applications, Flatseal can help.
Flatseal is a graphical utility for checking and changing the basic permissions of all installed Flatpak applications.
Launch Flatseal and select or search for an application from the left pane to change its permissions. After making changes, restart the application. If you have any problems, press the reset button.
How to install Flatseal on Ubuntu:
Flatseal itself is available as a Flatpak package. Flathub repository. In Ubuntu 18.04 or later, you can install by following steps.
1. First open a terminal (from the application menu or press Ctrl + Alt + T on your keyboard) and execute the command to confirm that the Flatpak framework is installed.
sudo apt install flatpak
2. Add the official Flathub repository using the command.
flatpak remote-add --if-not-exists flathub https://flathub.org/repo/flathub.flatpakrepo
3. Finally, install the utility using the command.
flatpak install flathub com.github.tchx84.Flatseal
Once installed, launch it from the system application menu and enjoy!
To remove a software package, run a command in Terminal.
flatpak uninstall com.github.tchx84.Flatseal
