Android notifications are great, but they’re not perfect. The way some notifications appear on the screen can be annoying, especially if they aren’t important. Fortunately, you can prevent this from happening.
The bad news is that there is no way to turn off pop-up notifications all at once. You have to do this individually via the app. However, the process is simple. So, if you do it every time an annoying notification comes in, you’ll have things cleaned up in no time.
First, swipe down from the top of your device’s screen (once or twice, depending on the manufacturer of your phone or tablet) and tap the gear icon to open the settings menu.
Next, choose Apps & Notifications.
Tap “Show All” [Number] Apps ”for the full list of installed apps.
Find the app that gives you annoying popup notifications.
Now select “Notifications”.
Here you can see all the different notification channels for the app. Unfortunately, you have to go to each channel separately to turn off pop-up notifications. Pick one to get started.
Next, find “Pop On Screen” and turn it off.
Repeat this process for each app as well as for the notification channels that you no longer want to display. When a notification arrives, the icon will only be displayed in the notification bar from now on. No pop-ups will get in your way.
