How to convert a Google form to a QR code on mobile and desktops

Gone are the days when we relied on physical survey forms to get feedback from customers, employees, or people. Today, Google Forms or Microsoft Forms can do the same job quickly. You can even convert a special Google form to a QR code on mobile and desktops to share.

This is useful for someone who speaks regularly to large gatherings or cafe / restaurant owners to take feedback from customers. Instead of handing out feedback forms, you can ask users to scan a QR code and fill out the form. No manual input is required on your part and all data is neatly organized by Google Forms on the web.

Before we go any further and show you how to convert Google Forms to QR Codes, let’s first understand how to get the Google Forms link from the web.

Create a corresponding Google form

First, you need to create a google form from the web. After that, you can either start building Google Forms from scratch or opt for Google Forms templates to save time.

Step 1: Visit the Google form on the web. Log in with your access data.

Step 2: Open a new Google form via the “Recent Forms” menu or click the + symbol below.

Step 3: Choose Choose Template.

You will be taken to a special template gallery. Choose a relevant template based on your needs. The template library contains customer feedback, job applications, event feedback, contact information, party invitations, and many more templates.

Step 4: Start making changes based on your preferences. Change the title, heading, default questions, answers, etc.

Your Google form is now ready for others to fill out. Let’s generate a link to turn it into a QR code.

Click Send at the top and choose Link from the Send Via menu. Next, activate the Shorten URL switch and reduce the size of the web link. Then copy and paste the link somewhere.

We’ll be using third-party web tools to create a QR code from a Google Forms link. If you have a sensitive Google Form, we strongly recommend that you take your risk.

Step 1: Visit the QR code generator on the web.

Step 2: Select Generate in the left sidebar and select URL in the menu on the right.

Step 5: Click the More option at the top and you will be able to change the size of the QR code.

Step 6: By default it is set to 200px, you can also change it to 50px or 100px. Click Save, give it a filename and choose Format at the bottom.

Click Save and the browser will download the QR code to your computer as an image. You can use your phone and try to scan the QR code and see if it works properly or not.
