Slideshows are a great way to enjoy memories captured and immortalized in photos. With the Photos app on the Mac, not only can you view an automatically generated slideshow or your own slideshow projects, but you can also conveniently export your slideshow projects and share them with your friends and loved ones. That’s how it’s done.
How to export slideshows from photos
You can export slideshow projects from photos using your Mac. The good thing is that you don’t have to spend any money on third-party apps or web-based programs and you are spared the slow download process that is typical of these options.
Note, however, that you can only share and export your slideshow projects. This does not apply to memories that also appear as slide shows. You can only export the contents of Memories as a series of photos and videos.
When you export a slideshow, Photos creates a movie file and allows you to choose the video format you want. To export your slideshow:
Go to photos .
click Projects from the sidebar and select the slideshow you want to export.
click export located in the top right corner of the toolbar, or go to the menu bar and click file > export > Export slide show .
If you haven’t already created a filename for your slideshow, write it in the Save as Area.
Press the format Pop-up menu to choose a file type for your slideshow project. If you’re playing it on a standard definition TV, a 480p standard definition File type is sufficient. However, you can choose either 720p or 1080p high definition Formats if the slideshow is playing on an HDTV or HD display.
Click the drop-down menu for Where to select the file destination of the exported slideshow.
Blow Save on computer .
Share your memories
Slideshows allow you to convert still images into a personalized movie file to immortalize memories. In addition to creating slideshows on a Mac, you can also share them with loved ones with ease using this tip.
