Cataclysm: Dark Days Ahead is a free, open source, turn-based survival game for Linux, MacOS and Windows. It’s a post-apocalyptic survival game. In this game you have to survive and fight to defeat or escape monsters, zombies, giant insects, killer robots, strangers and deadly unknown enemies. You also need to find food, water and safety. There are two modes. Terminal-based console Curses mode and sprite-based graphic tile mode.
Install Cataclysm Dark Days Ahead Game on Ubuntu
Cataclysm Dark Days Ahead is available in the official Ubuntu repository. Therefore, you need terminal software to install this game. Start a terminal (ctrl + alt + t) and run the following command to install the latest version of Cataclysm Dark Days Ahead on your system.
sudo apt update
Enter the password for the Ubuntu user.
sudo apt install cataclysm-dda-curses
sudo apt install cataclysm-dda-sdl
You can start the game from the application’s view menu. This will open the game’s sprite-based graphic tile mode.
