NOTE: Ubuntu may have already installed Snappy package manager.
sudo apt install snapd snapd-xdg-open
Install Eclipse on Ubuntu
Follow below instructions to install Eclipse on Ubuntu 18.04
Eclipse requires Java to be installed on your system.Run
java --version command to check if Java is installed on your system.If your system doesnt have Java installed on then install it by using the following command:
sudo apt install default-jre
Now to install Eclipse on your Ubuntu system, run following
sudo snap install --classic eclipse
After completing the above command you have successfully installed Eclipse on your Ubuntu system.
