The Ubuntu Mainline Kernel installer is a free open source Linux kernel installation application for Linux. Get the list of available kernels from the official Ubuntu Mainline PPA. This tool automatically downloads and installs the Linux kernel package. You can also uninstall the kernel from here.
Note: The mainline kernel does not contain the latest ubuntu-specific patches. These are not supported and are not suitable for production use. Installing this can damage your system.
Install the Ubuntu Mainline Kernel installer tool on Ubuntu
The mainline Linux kernel installation tools are available as native .deb package files and official PPA.
Install Mainline via DEB.
Download the mainline in .deb file format from the download link below and save it in your download folder.
Open the terminal app (ctrl + alt + t) and run them one by one under the command.
sudo dpkg -i mainline_1.0.12.0000_amd64.deb
sudo apt install -f
here “mainline_1.0.12.0000_amd64.debThe name of the downloaded file. The above command can be modified based on the file name.

It can be opened from the application list menu.
Install Mainline via PPA.
You can also install via Mainline PPA using the following command:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:cappelikan/ppa
sudo apt update
