Vimix is a free open source live video mixing application for Linux and MacOS. Released under the GNU General Public License v3.0. This tool lets you graphically mix and blend multiple movie clips and computer-generated graphics with real-time image processing effects. You can add image opacity and shape with live mixing to create live graphics. The perfect mixing tool for concerts and VJ-ing sessions. It is the successor model to the popular GLMixer. It’s still in beta and early stages of development.
Install Vimix on Ubuntu
Vimix is available via Ubuntu‘s snap package. Open the terminal software (ctrl + alt + t) and run this vimix snap install command.
sudo snap install vimix
If necessary, enter the ubuntu user password. After installation, you can run vimix with this command.
Note: Currently not a finished product. But you can try its features.
