Wine 5.0 Characteristic:
- Embedded module in PE format.
- Multi-monitor support.
- XAudio2 reimplementation.
- Support for Vulkan 1.1.
How to install Wine 5.0 on Ubuntu:
The official wine apt repository has created packages for Ubuntu 16.04, Ubuntu 18.04, Ubuntu 19.04 and Ubuntu 19.10.
To get out of wine-dependent hell:
I have successfully installed Wine 5.0 on Ubuntu 5.0 with the following steps without any dependencies.
However, in Ubuntu 18.04, even after removing the graphics driver PPA, kisak-mesa PPA, etc., unsatisfied dependency problems occur.
sudo aptitude install wine-stable The command prints out hundreds of package conflicts without a workaround.
