With the ever growing size of smartphone screens, it can be impossible to reach the top of your iPhone screen when using it with one hand. Fortunately, Apple added a cool way to lower your iPhone screen to overcome this: accessibility.
Accessibility lowers the top of your iPhone screen so you can reach everything with one hand. How to use it.
How to use reachability on a Face ID iPhone
If your iPhone uses Face ID and doesn’t have a home button, all you have to do is swipe your finger from the bottom of the screen.
To do this correctly you need to start swiping at the very bottom of the screen, just above the home bar.
Your iPhone screen should slide down so you can reach all of the items above, open Control Center, or easily access your notifications.
To get your iPhone back to its normal screen, just tap an app or notification, or tap the arrow at the top of the screen.
How to use reachability on a Touch ID iPhone
If your iPhone has a Home button with Touch ID functionality, you only need to touch the Home button twice.
Make sure you don’t click the Home button. Just tap it lightly twice without applying pressure.
This will bring the top of your iPhone screen down so that everything you need is within easy reach.
To get your iPhone back to its normal screen, just tap an app or notification, or tap the arrow at the top of the screen.
Unlock an additional button on the back of your iPhone
If you’re looking for more ways to use your iPhone with one hand, consider turning on the back-tap feature so you can, for example, open an app, change the color scheme, or do a shortcut by tapping your iPhone.
