HPLIP 3.20.9 has been released but is not yet installed on Ubuntu 20.04

HP LIP 3.20.9 for Linux, HP Printing, Scanning, and Fax Drivers are now available for download.

The release notes are not ready at the time of writing, HPLIP 3.20.9 You can already download the package from that website. There is usually a list of new printers supported.

How to get HPLIP 3.20.9:

1. To install the software, download the package “hplip-3.20.9.run” from the link below.

2. Then use Ctrl + Alt + T or search for “Terminal” in the App Launcher to open the terminal. Once open, run the command to grant execute permission.

chmod +x ~/Downloads/hplip-3.20.9.run

3. Finally, run the command to start the driver installation.

./Downloads/hplip-3.20.9.run
