HTTPie is the latest free open source command line HTTP client for Linux, MacOS, and Windows. You can use this tool to test and debug APIs, HTTP servers, and web services. Comes with JSON, HTTPS, proxy, and authentication support. Other important features include syntax highlighting, persistent sessions, and support for extensions. You can also upload forms and files, and download files like Wget. It is based on Python and is released under the BSD 3-Clause License.
Install HTTPie on Ubuntu
You can install HTTPie from a terminal application. Open the terminal app (ctrl + alt + t) and execute the following commands one by one.
sudo apt update
Enter the required Ubuntu user password.
sudo apt install httpie
