Hydrogen is a free open source advanced drum machine for Windows, Linux and Mac OS. It allows you to do professional pattern-based drum programming. It comes with a stereo audio engine and imports wav, au, and aiff format sound samples. You can also use a sample compressed FLAC file. It is released under the GNU General Public License v2.0.

Install Hydrogen on Ubuntu
hydrogen It is available as a flatpak package for Ubuntu Linux in the main Ubuntu repository. Open the Ubuntu terminal software (ctrl + alt + T) and execute the following commands one by one to install Hydrogen. Install the latest version of Hydrogen on Ubuntu. If necessary, enter the Ubuntu user password during the installation.
sudo apt update
sudo apt install hydrogen
Install hydrogen via flatpak.
You can also install the hydrogen drum machine via a flat pack. If you don’t have flatpak, install flatpak first. Reboot the system after installing flatpak.

Open the terminal app and run it under the Hydrogen install command.
flatpak install flathub org.hydrogenmusic.Hydrogen
Then run hydrogen with the following command:
