Install Brave Web Browser on CentOS 8 desktop

If you are more interested in the latest features, you can install the stable version of the Brave Web browser on the CentOS 8 Linux desktop, or you can use the Beta version. The software package for Brave browser is not available in the default CentOS 8 repository. Before installing the Brave browser on the CentOS 8 desktop, we need to add the Brave repository.

Import the repository key:

sudo rpm --import

Add the Brave Browser YUM repository to the CentOS 8 workstation.

sudo dnf -y install dnf-utils
sudo dnf config-manager --add-repo

Command execution will give output similar to the following.

Confirm that there are files added to the /etc/yum.repos.d directory.

$ cat /etc/yum.repos.d/brave-browser-rpm-release.s3.brave.com_x86_64_.repo

After adding the repository, use dnf or yum package manager to install Brave Web Browser on CentOS 8 Desktop.

Then install the Brave web browser on Fedora:

sudo dnf install brave-browser

hit ÿ Press the key on the keyboard to start installing Brave Browser on CentOS 8 Desktop.
