Installing Adobe Flash Player on Ubuntu 18.04 / 18.10

Adobe Flash Player is a lightweight browser plug-in used for streaming video, audio, and other multimedia content on Adobe Flash sites and platforms. Users of the Google Chrome web browser do not need to install the Adobe Flash Player as it comes pre-installed with its own version of NPAPI.

All commands are executed in the terminal

Add a repository update

[email protected]:~$ sudo add-apt-repository "deb http://archive.canonical.com/ $(lsb_release -sc) partner"
[email protected]:~$ sudo apt update
[email protected]:~$ sudo apt -y upgrade

Install Adobe Flash Plugin

[email protected]:~$ sudo apt install adobe-flashplugin

Install the rowser-plugin-freshplayer-pepperflash package

[email protected]:~$ sudo apt-get install browser-plugin-freshplayer-pepperflash
