Jailbreak tweaks of the week: Cyrch, NotchBanner and more …

The jailbreak community is currently in a particularly exciting situation. With the Fugu14 untethered now available and jailbreakers hard at work integrating it into existing tools, many jailbreakers are eagerly waiting to experience an untethered jailbreak for the first time since iOS 9 app indefinitely via the latest version of AltStore signed.

Of course, the world continues to spin while we wait for the above to happen, and a lot of exciting jailbreak tweak releases and jailbreak-related news have surfaced over the past week.

In today’s recap, we discuss all of the breaking jailbreak-centric news, including jailbreak tweak releases, spanning the period between Monday November 1st and Sunday November 7th. As always, we’ll start things by showing off our favorite releases first, and then closing things off with an overview of everything else.

Our favorite releases this week

Raid – FREE

Ambushed is a free jailbreak tweak that extends the capabilities of the Cydia package manager on jailbroken iPhones and iPads by adding a search bar to the app’s Sources tab.

Cyrch makes it a lot easier to find the repository you added to your source list without scrolling so much, and it’s useful because the number of third-party repositories that jailbreakers rely on for tweaking is exponentially higher than a few years ago.

You can learn all about Cyrch in our full review post.

NotchBanner – $ 1.99

The notch is an often-discussed feature of modern iPhones – some users love it, others don’t mind, and the rest absolutely hates it. But some jailbreak tweaks like NotchBanner try to make more sense of it.

As the name suggests, NotchBanners uses the notch on iPhones that have one as a size guide for incoming notification banners. As a result, incoming banners look like they’re coming out of the notch.
