KDE Connect is finally coming to the iPhone

If you’re looking for an easy way to connect your iPhone to your KDE desktop, today is your lucky day because KDE Connect is finally available as an iPhone app (Click on the article titled “KDE Connect iOS Enters Public Flight Test!”), Albeit in beta Shape.

In order to use KDE Connect on the iPhone, you need to go through a few steps. First you have to go to this one TestFlight link to get set up to test the beta the KDE Connect app. In addition, you must be using iOS 15 for the app to run. So, you need to make sure that your iPhone is updated.

Before downloading the app, you can also download the KDE Connect iOS source repository so that everything looks good.

If you’re not sure what KDE Connect is doing, KDE describes it as “a project that allows all of your devices to communicate with each other”. You can get notifications on your desktop and reply to messages, control music on your desktop from your phone, use your phone as a remote control for your desktop, and do lots of other cool things.

The tool has been available on Android for a while, but iPhone users were left out until the release of the recently launched TestFlight version. If you’d like to try it out for yourself, go to the TestFlight link on your iPhone and give it a try.
