Microsoft Surface Event 2021: How to Watch It and What to Expect

Microsoft is hosting an event on September 22, 2021 at 11 a.m. ET that is expected to announce a range of new Surface devices. If you are looking for a new laptop, tablet, or possibly even a new smartphone, this is the place to tune in.

Here’s how to watch Microsoft’s Surface event

The event will be everywhere when it kicks off at 11 a.m. ET on September 22, 2021. Microsoft will officially be the Surface show on its Events page on Microsoft.com.

What we expect from Microsoft’s Surface Event

Microsoft has not officially said which devices it wants to show at the event, just that “the company will talk about devices and Windows 11”.

There’s a lot of speculation about the company’s plans, including a Surface Pro 8. This would serve as Microsoft’s flagship for Surface and would likely be the main event of the showcase. A source said The edge that “the company plans to ship a larger display on the Surface Pro 8 with smaller bezels.” Otherwise, we’ll have to wait and see what exactly the hybrid device brings to the table at the event.

Rumors are also circulating about the Surface Book 4. Windows Central reports that the company plans to get rid of the detachable display. Instead, it pulls it forward to convert from laptop to tablet. The company will likely add a high refresh rate display to the Surface Book 4 as well.

A Surface Pro X could also show up at the event, though there haven’t been many rumors about what it will have. The same goes for a possible inexpensive Surface Go 3. It should be at the event, but we don’t know much about it yet.

Finally, we expect the company to announce a new Surface Duo 2 foldable smartphone. It is expected to be a triple camera system with a camera hump on the back. The phone likely has a Snapdragon 888 processor and 5G connectivity.
