MySQL 5.7 error: your password does not satisfy the current policy requirements

When creating a database user, an error appears:

your password does not satisfy the current policy requirements

To fix this error you need to connect to mysql

[[email protected] ~]# mysql -u root -p

We look at the security settings

mysql> SHOW VARIABLES LIKE 'validate_password%';
+--------------------------------------+--------+
| Variable_name | Value |
+--------------------------------------+--------+
| validate_password_dictionary_file | |
| validate_password_length | 5 |
| validate_password_mixed_case_count | 1 |
| validate_password_number_count | 1 |
| validate_password_policy | MEDIUM |
| validate_password_special_char_count | 1 |
+--------------------------------------+--------+

Changing these values

mysql> SET GLOBAL validate_password_length = 5;
mysql> SET GLOBAL validate_password_number_count = 0;
mysql> SET GLOBAL validate_password_mixed_case_count = 0;
mysql> SET GLOBAL validate_password_special_char_count = 0;
