NetSurf Small and lightweight web browser

NetSurf is a small, free, open source web browser for RISC OS, Linux, Haiku & BeOS, AmigaOS, Windows, and Atari. Comes with Homebuild’s own layout engine. It is written in C and released under the GPL Version 2 license. It can run on a 30MHz ARM6 computer with 16MB of RAM. It currently supports HTML4 and CSS2.1, has limited JavaScript support, and lacks most dynamic content. Other important features include HTTPS and Unicode support, top preview of web pages, history manager, bookmark manager, cookie manager and more.

Install NetSurf web browser on Ubuntu

You can install the NetSurf web browser via the Flatpak package file. Open the terminal software (ctrl + alt + t) and execute the following NetSurfflatpak installation command.

flatpak install flathub org.netsurf_browser.NetSurf

If you don’t have flatpak and flathub on your system, follow the links below to install them on your Ubuntu system. Reboot the system after installing flatpak.

How to install flatpak and flathub

You can use the following command to open a small NetSurf web browser.

flatpak run org.netsurf_browser.NetSurf
