Want to disable the top panel, left dock launcher, search box and other Gnome UI elements in Ubuntu 20.04 LTS? You can now do that through the Gnome Shell extension.

Just Perfection is an extension that allows you to get a minimal GNOME desktop. To install the extension on Ubuntu 20.04, do the following steps one at a time:

1. Open a terminal and run the command to install the chrome-gnome-shell package if it is missing.

sudo apt install chrome-gnome-shell

2. Next Go to the extension web page, Turn on the toggle icon to install.

Do you see the toggle icon? Click the link “Click here to install the browser extension” to install the browser extension and refresh the web page.

Note 1: The extension disables all options available by default. If you want to re-enable any of them, press Ctrl + Alt + T to open a terminal and run the command.
