Scribus is a free open source desktop publishing software for Windows, MacOS, BDS, and Linux. With this tool you can create beautiful page layouts for magazines, books and more. Save the data using an XML-based file format. It comes with support for the demanding PDF / X-3 specifications and support for over 200 color palettes, RGB, CMYK, and spot colors. Other useful features include a built-in color wheel, an image browser, a scripting engine using Python, and layer support. It is written in C ++, the Qt framework and is released under the GNU LGPL license.
Install Scribus DTP software on Ubuntu
Scribus DTP software is available in the Ubuntu repository. You can install it from the terminal application. Open a terminal (ctrl + alt + t) and run the following command. If necessary, enter the Ubuntu user password during the installation.
sudo apt update
sudo apt install scribus
You can then launch the application from the following command or the application menu list.
