It’s time for another episode of our recap of the week’s apps. This week we have a new podcast client with SharePlay support, a mysterious new push app and a collector app for your notes and links. And as always, we’ve picked a great new game to try out.
Shadow is an extremely lightweight podcast player with support for Apple’s new SharePlay feature, which means you can listen to your favorite podcasts with friends or family via FaceTime. Other features include smart downloads, playback speed control and widget support.
Oh, press it. Push it really well! I usually don’t like to write about apps that haven’t fully started right now, but when Push It crept to the top of the free list on the App Store I had to mention it. Still not quite sure what it used to do, but I’ve reserved a cool username.
Pasteline is a simple collecting app for your notes and links. Features include customizable and shareable folders and a nifty inbox interface that lets you browse your links, notes, and ideas like your emails. I think this can be good or bad depending on your emailing habits.
Artifact – 3D puzzle
That’s a very cool idea for a game. Basically, what you get to play is an archaeologist who has to reassemble broken ancient artifacts. There are 40 3D puzzles in five themes with a unique atmosphere and music: Greece, Egypt, China, America and Africa. The graphics are stunning and the mechanics are intuitive.
