Steve Wozniak says he can’t tell the iPhone 13 apart from older iPhones

Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak said he bought the new iPhone 13 but can’t tell it apart from the previous iterations. “The software in it applies to older iPhones, I suppose,” he said.

After its inception, most reviews of the iPhone 13 found it struck a balance between familiarity and functional improvements. However, some reviewers criticized the years of stagnation in new features and improvements. Wozniak said, “I got the new iPhone; I can’t really tell the difference. “

CNET rightly stated in its review that the iPhone 13 is a “wonderful upgrade” from last year’s iPhone 12, although some would be disappointed that it is not “radically different from previous models”. The publication found that familiarity was one of the keys to Apple’s success and that “iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini are the same trusted friends that never seem to change.”

Wozniak’s testimony essentially confirmed the ratings of the iPhone 13. He said, “I’m worried about size and size … But I’m not studying it. I’m only interested in good products. (sic) “Wozniak is credited with developing the Apple I, which debuted in 1976. He remained one of the company’s core team members until he left in 1985.

Interestingly, this isn’t the first time Wozniak has voiced that exact opinion after a new iPhone release. Back in 2017, he told the media that the iPhone X would be the first phone he wouldn’t buy on launch day. At the time he said, “I’d rather wait and see this. I’m happy with my iPhone 8 – it’s the same as the iPhone 7, which is the same as the iPhone 6 to me. “

Our opinion

We cannot help but agree with Wozniak on this point. While the iPhone 13 brings improvements over its predecessor, apart from incremental improvements in performance, software, and hardware, there’s nothing groundbreaking about the iPhone 13 (though marketing would have you believe otherwise). However, the iPhone 13 lineup includes several feature upgrades that will come in handy for the average consumer, including more storage for cheaper, better cameras, and improvements with iOS 15.
