Srain is a free open source IRC client software for Linux, Windows, macOS, and BSD. Comes with RFCs 1459 and 2812 compatible with partial IRCv3 support. Here you can forward messages, view URL previews, view command support and do anything with just one click. Other features include a connection panel, interactive channel search, desktop notification support, and a built-in regular expression-based message rendering and filtering mechanism. Its capabilities can be extended through IPC-based plug-in systems and support for bridge / relay bots.
Install the Srain IRC client on Ubuntu
The Srain IRC Client is available as a flatpak package for Ubuntu Linux. Srain can be installed from the command line terminal application. Open a terminal (ctrl + alt + t) and run it under the Srain IRC Client flatpak installation command. If your system doesn’t have flatpak and flathub, you can install it from the tutorial link below. Reboot the system after installing flatpak.

How to install flatpak on Ubuntu

After installing the Srain IRC client, you can open it with the following command:
