Thorium Reader is a free open source e-reader software for Linux, Windows and Mac OS. It supports EPUB, EPUB3, PDF, ZIP, LPF, audiobook, Webpub, LCPA, LCPDF, LCPL, Divina, Daisy and OPF file formats. You can also import OPDS feeds to read eBook and LCP protected files. It comes with custom screen sizes, layout settings, session savers, keyboard shortcuts, built-in search, bookmark management and excellent navigation support.
Install Thorium Reader on Ubuntu
Thorium Reader is available as a native .deb and portable AppImage package file.
Install ThoriumReader via AppImage.
Download ThoriumReader in .AppImage file format from the download link above and save it in your download folder. Then open the terminal command line tool (ctrl + alt + t) and run the following command:
sudo chmod +x ~ Thorium-1.7.0.AppImage
Here “Thorium-1.7.0.AppImage“Is the downloaded file name. This can be changed based on the file name.
Install ThoriumReader via DEB.
Download ThoriumReader in .deb file format from the ThoriumReader download link at the top and save it in your download folder. Then run all the following commands in the terminal one at a time.
sudo dpkg -i EDRLab.ThoriumReader_1.7.0_amd64.deb
Here, “EDRLab.ThoriumReader_1.7.0_amd64.deb” is the downloaded file name.
sudo apt install -f
