The home screen has icons for every app you have on your iPhone, but there’s a reserved space at the bottom of the home screen for you to save shortcuts to your four favorite apps. We often refer to this as the dock.
Jailbreakers can customize their dock in a myriad of different ways, and a brand new iOS developer named VyperDev just came up with a free jailbreak tweak called. released Transdock this makes the home screen dock completely transparent.
As shown in the Before (left) and After (right) screenshot examples above, Transdock changes the aesthetics of the Dock by removing its background so that all of the app icons in the Dock are an extension of the home screen rather than a. separate group of app icons appear.
Once installed, Transdock adds a dedicated settings area to the settings app where users can toggle optimization on or off as needed:
After you have activated or deactivated optimization, you can save your setting with the Apply changes button.
Whether or not you want a transparent dock background simply depends on your personal preference. That said, it’s always nice to have access to a jailbreak tweak that has this functionality, as there are a sizable number of jailbreakers out there who appreciate the look of this mod.
Anyone interested in trying out Transdock for themselves can Download the tweak for free from VyperDev’s personal repository. The tweak supports jailbroken iPhones running iOS 14.
If you want to add VyperDev’s personal repository to your package manager app, you can do so using the following url:
