XnView MP is a free photo viewer, image management and image resizer application for Linux, MacOS, and Windows. This application can be used as freeware for private, educational, and non-commercial purposes, but you must purchase a license for commercial use. It supports over 500 image formats including PEG, TIFF, PNG, GIF, WEBP, PSD, JPEG2000, OpenEXR, camera RAW, HEIC, PDF, DNG, CR2. XnView Photo Viewer comes with thumbnails, full screen and filmstrip views, slideshows with FX support, and image comparison capabilities.
You can use the Image XnView MP Image Editor feature to edit the brightness and contrast of an image, resize, rotate, crop, adjust, change the color depth of an image, and apply image filters and effects. It also comes with a screen capture and a built-in image converter.
Install XnView MP on Ubuntu
XnView MP is available as a portable AppImage and native .deb package file.
Install XnView MP via AppImage.
Download XnViewMP in .AppImage file format from the link above and save it in your download folder. Open the terminal software (ctrl + alt + t) and execute the following command. “XnView_MP.glibc2.17-x86_64.AppImageThe downloaded file name.
sudo chmod +x ~ XnView_MP.glibc2.17-x86_64.AppImage
Install XnView MP via DEB.

Download the XnViewMP linux .deb file from the link above, save it in your download directory, and run the following command: Replace “XnView MP-linux-x64.deb” with the filename.
