Vivaldi 3.4 released with configurable context menu

The Vivaldi web browser has released a new stable 3.4 version with a configurable context menu, an auto-reload page, and Vivaldia, a real 80’s arcade-style game.

Vivaldi 3.4 Release highlights:

  • Configurable context menu (right-click menu).
  • Add a custom link to the menu.
  • Automatic reload page. Right click on the tab[定期的な再読み込み]Go to the menu entry and select the reload interval.
  • Capture the screenshot directly into a new note.
  • A new plus icon for selecting custom images for out-of-sync profiles.
  • Drag and drop to support the creation of speed dial folders
  • Vivaldia, a true 80’s arcade-style game

How to install Vivaldi 3.4 on Ubuntu:

You can download the official Ubuntu.DEB package from the link below.

Download Vivaldi (DEB)

Get the deb that matches your OS and install it via Ubuntu software or Gdebi package manager. Alternatively, run the command in the terminal.

sudo apt install ./Downloads/vivaldi-stable*.deb

Vivaldi also has an official apt repository where you can install your browser and get future updates via the SoftwareUpdater utility.

Open the terminal by using the Ctrl + Alt + T keyboard shortcut or by searching for the terminal from the application menu. Once open, run the following commands one at a time.

1. Download and install the repository key ring.

wget -qO- | sudo apt-key add -

Enter your user password when prompted and press Enter to continue.

2. Use the command to add the Vivaldi repository.

sudo add-apt-repository 'deb stable main'

3. Finally, check for updates and use the command to install the web browser.

sudo apt update && sudo apt install vivaldi-stable

Alternatively, use the SoftwareUpdater utility to upgrade from an older version.

(Optional): To remove the Vivaldi apt repository from your system[ソフトウェアとアップデート]Launch and[その他のソフトウェア]Go to the tab.
