Wike Wikipedia Reader for desktop

Wike is a free open source Wikipedia desktop reader for Linux. It is written in Python and released under the GNU General Public License v3.0. Wike gives you access to all Wikipedia content in your native desktop application. This desktop reader allows you to bookmark your favorite articles and supports multiple languages. It also has built-in search capabilities, view article history, search for text in articles, navigate by article table of contents, copy Wikipedia URLs to the clipboard, open Wikipedia articles in external browsers, article font sizes. Changes are also included.

Install Wike Wikipedia Reader on Ubuntu

Wike Wikipedia Reader is available as a flatpak package for Ubuntu Linux. To install the wiki, you first need to install Flat Pack and Flat Hub on Ubuntu. Follow the links below for a flatpak installation tutorial. Reboot the system after installation.

How to install flatpak

Open a terminal application (ctrl + alt + t) and run it under the Wike Wikipedia Reader flatpak installation command.

flatpak install flathub com.github.hugolabe.Wike

The latest Wike Wikipedia Reader will be installed on Ubuntu. Then run the Wike Wikipedia Reader by running the following command:

flatpak run com.github.hugolabe.Wike
